From November 7 to 9, the "2025 Green Chemical Engineering and High-End Equipment Forum and Annual Conference of the Chemical Machinery Committee of the Chinese Society of Chemical Industry" was held in Shanghai. The conference was hosted by the Chemical Machinery Committee of the Chinese Society of Chemical Industry (CIESC) and co-organized by East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) and the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Intelligent Sensing and Detection Technology. More than 100 experts and scholars from universities, research institutions, and enterprises across the country gathered to engage in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge technologies, innovative achievements, and development pathways in the fields of green chemical engineering and high-end equipment, pooling wisdom and efforts to promote the green transformation and high-quality development of the chemical industry.

From October 24 to 25, the 3rd National Symposium on Small Specimen Mechanical Testing Methods and the 1st China Innovation Exchange on Mechanical Testing Instruments and Equipment were held by the Fuchun River in Tonglu, Zhejiang Province. The conference brought together nearly 300 representatives, including academicians, experts, scholars, graduate students, and professionals from mechanical testing instrument and equipment enterprises, representing 87 institutions nationwide. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on theories, technologies, methods, and standards in the fields of non-destructive, minimally destructive, and small-specimen mechanical testing, as well as innovative advancements and future development trends in advanced mechanical testing instruments and equipment.

With the widespread application of new energy, particularly in electric vehicles, smart devices, and renewable energy storage, battery safety and reliability have become critical issues. From October 23 to 25, the SAE 2025 Battery Safety and Reliability International Conference was held in Shanghai. The conference was organized by East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST), co-organized by the Key Laboratory of Advanced Battery Systems and Safety for the Petroleum and Chemical Industry, and received academic support from SAE International. Centered on the theme "Battery Safety and Reliability Throughout the Lifecycle," nearly 500 experts, scholars, and engineers from universities, research institutions, and industry chain enterprises worldwide gathered to discuss cutting-edge topics such as safety design, risk prevention and control, standard coordination, and data-driven approaches. They shared the latest research findings and practical experiences, which not only enhanced China's international influence in the field of battery safety and reliability but also injected new momentum into building a safer, more reliable, and sustainable electrified future. President Xuan Fuzhen of ECUST attended the conference and delivered a speech, while Vice President Li Tao attended and addressed the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Luan Weiling, Executive Chair of the conference and a faculty member of the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering.
