Profile
Shuo Li is a member of the Communist Party of China. Her research focuses on human–olfaction interaction, digital olfaction technologies, and immersive multisensory interaction. In recent years, she has contributed to 15 high-level academic publications, including 9 first-author papers published in conferences and journals such as CHI, IEEE SENSORS, and the International Journal of Human–Computer Interaction. She has been granted 2 related patents and has received more than 30 awards in design and innovation competitions, including the James Dyson Award, the China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the Red Dot Design Award, as a first or co-participant. She has also participated as a key member in several research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program of China, projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and projects funded by the National Social Science Fund of China.
Education and Professional Experience

She received her Ph.D. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2025. In 2024, she was supported by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) under the State-Sponsored Graduate Study Abroad Program and conducted joint doctoral research at Nakamoto Lab, Institute of Science Tokyo.

Since November 2025, she has been working in the Department of Industrial Design, School of Art Design and Media, East China University of Science and Technology, where she is engaged in teaching and research.
